The VIA LDPC PLUS ECC decoding engine features a unique dual hardware decoding architecture that leverages our Gear-Shifting technology to ensure maximum reliability and longevity.

VIA Gear-shifting technology utilizes our proprietary BER Look-Ahead algorithm to allow our SSD controllers to shift-on-the-fly between our Hard, Hard+ and Soft error correction methods to maximize both data integrity and performance.
