Last week we announced the latest addition to our growing family of VIA Mobile360 in-vehicle safety systems. The VIA Mobile360 M810 has been designed for buses, coaches, trucks and other larger vehicles, and supports up to six automotive-grade HD FOV-40° and FOV-190° cameras for the flexible integration of ADAS, SVS, DMS, and DVR features. Check out the table below for the full list of the combinations that the system supports.
Other key features in the system include: two CAN bus ports, expandable to five using an adaptor; Gigabit Ethernet plus optional 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, and BT4.1 connectivity; and a wide temperature operating range.
Samples of the VIA Mobile360 M810 are available now. You can find the full specifications on the VIA Mobile360 M810 product page here. We plan to show the system next week at Embedded World 2020 in Nuremberg, Germany, and then at the Work Truck Show 2020 in Indianapolis and CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2020 in Las Vegas. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to set up a meeting at any of these events.
This week, we posted the final video in our New Year 2020 Interview Series featuring a conversation with Giuseppe Amato, European Technical and Business Development Manager here at VIA. He has a lot of interesting comments to make not just about our own strategies for the European vehicle safety market, but also the challenges faced by the continent’s auto industry as it transitions to EVs and autonomous driving technologies. Giuseppe will also be at Embedded World next week.
All this talk about Embedded World reminds me that I will be giving a presentation entitled “Harnessing AI and Computer Vision Technologies to Enhance Vehicle Safety” at 2:30pm on February 25 at Hall 3 of the Nuremberg Exhibition Center. You’re more than welcome to stop by and listen if you have time.
