March 4, 2020 — Indianapolis, Indiana, USA – To enable operators of commercial trucking and delivery fleets to boost efficiency and save insurance costs, VIA is demonstrating the VIA Mobile360 D700 AI Dash Cam at Work Truck Show 2020.
Featuring dual 1080p front dash and interior cameras, this robust and high-performance device captures real-time video footage of the front exterior and interior of the vehicle – providing irrefutable evidence if an accident, dangerous driving incident, or dispute occurs. The footage can be stored on the device itself or uploaded to the cloud using 4G LTE wireless or Wi-Fi.
With its CAN bus support, the VIA Mobile360 D700 can feed detailed driver and vehicle telematics data such as speed, distance idle time, and fuel consumption to the cloud in real-time – providing actionable insights that allow operators to boost fleet efficiency by minimizing vehicle idle time, improving routing efficiency and asset utilization, and reducing costs from vehicle damage and fake insurance claims.
The VIA Mobile360 D700 is AWS IoT Core Qualified and comes with a feature-rich SDK to facilitate application development and cloud integration. Support for Amazon Kinetic Video Streams (KVS) means that customers can benefit from a serverless video solution with automated time indexing, encryption, retention and access policies, live and on-demand playback, and pre integration with AWS ML/AI services. A customizable Android smartphone or Apple® iPhone® reference app is also available.
