Regardless of whether you are a beginner or a tech savvy coder, our tutorials make space for both. Color detection can easily be achieved with our VIA Pixetto vision sensor in more ways than one. For those new to programming and still warming-up to VIA Pixetto, we have a more introductory method in mind. Here, we teach you how to connect VIA Pixetto to Arduino UNO, as well showing you how you can use Arduino UNO with our native Blocks platform to program VIA Pixetto to recognize designated colors. Talk about killing two birds with one stone! For those more familiar with programming, however, feel free to use Python to directly code Pixetto as a more advanced method of color detection.
Want to see color detection in action? Well, now that we’ve covered the basics of setting up color detection, we can move on to using color detection for fun projects of our own! This cute virtual chameleon changes its color to match the colors detected by Pixetto and only requires a few quick steps. Not only is this project easy to learn, it also acts as an educational experience for those who have yet to see how programming can interact with an external, non-digital environment.
