VIA Eden® X2 processors combine VIA’s signature Eden® fanless design principles in an optimized dual-core architecture, allowing embedded developers to harness the benefits of fanless design, without compromising on performance or features.
Designed from the ground up for fanless implementation, VIA Eden® X2 processors leverage 40nm manufacturing process technology, combining two 64-bit, superscalar VIA Eden® cores on one die, offering enhanced multi-tasking and superb multimedia performance on a rigidly low power budget.
With rock solid stability guaranteed over extended periods, VIA Eden® X2 processors are ideal for fanless always-on, mission-critical commercial and industrial applications. Fanless systems typically contain no moving components, dramatically improving system stability and providing the ideal platform for ruggedized industrial device development.
VIA Eden® X2 processors feature VIA VT virtualization technology, allowing embedded developers to deploy legacy software and applications in virtual scenarios without impacting on performance. The unique VIA AES Security Engine offers lightening fast hardware-based data encryption coupled with a range of security features including a random number generator and Montgomery Multiplier.
Available in two models running at 800MHz and 1.0+GHz, VIA Eden® X2 processors and are fully pin-to-pin compatible with VIA C7®, VIA Nano® E-Series, VIA Nano® X2 E-Series, and VIA QuadCore E-Series processors and use a VIA NanoBGA2 package of 21mm x 21mm with a die size of 11mm x 6mm.
