Taipei, Taiwan, June 19, 2019 – VIA Technologies, Inc. today announces the VIA Mobile360 D700 AI Dash Cam, a commercial-grade dual-camera in-vehicle safety system that enables fleet operators to achieve greater asset efficiency, reduce operational costs, and improve driver safety.
The VIA Mobile360 D700 AI Dash Cam is a robust and compact in-vehicle device that supports standard in-vehicle power delivery using both 12V power sockets, and hard wire installation directly to the vehicle’s fuse box. It includes dual 1080P cameras that simultaneously capture HD video footage of the driver and other occupants of the car and the prevailing road conditions ahead of it.
TWith its GPS, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, and CAN bus integration support, the VIA Mobile360 D700 can feed detailed driver and vehicle telematics data to the cloud in real-time. This provides actionable insights to fleet managers, allowing them to boost operational efficiency by minimizing vehicle idle time, improving routing efficiency and asset utilization, and reducing costs from vehicle damage and fake insurance claims. Customizable event triggers can also be set to keep managers informed of critical incidents, such as collisions, so they can immediately assess the situation and provide a swift, appropriate response.
To facilitate the development and deployment of fleet management applications and services, the VIA Mobile360 D700 comes with a comprehensive SDK (Software Development Kit) that supports Microsoft Azure and VIA Fleet cloud integration. A customizable Android smartphone reference app featuring a rich graphical interface for the real-time display of trip video and vehicle usage data is also available.
