VIA SOM-7200 is a SMARC module designed to accelerate the development of advanced edge AI systems and devices. Powered by the MediaTek Genio 720 Octa-core processor, this highly integrated low-power platform delivers blistering AI, graphics, video, and computing performance required a wide range of applications, including smart home, retail, industrial, and commercial use cases.

VIA SOM-7200 Module
VIA SOMDB8 Carrier Board
VIA SOM-7200 module is powered by a MediaTek Genio 720 Octa-Core Processor combining two Cortex-A78 cores operating at 2.6GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores running at 2.0GHz with an integrated AI processor, the MediaTek NPU 850, providing up to 10 TOPS for powerful on-device processing.
When combined with the VIA SOMDB8 carrier board, the VIA SOM-7200 module provides a wealth of camera and display integration options. This includes support for one 4-Lane MIPI CSI-2 connector on the SOM-7200 and another on the carrier board, a MIPI DSI display, one HDMI display, and an LVDS single-channel display.
The VIA SOM-7200 module measures 82mm x 50mm (3.22＂×2＂). The VIA SOMDB8 carrier board is based on an SBC form factor measuring 151mm x 134mm (5.94″ x 5.28″). For the full hardware specifications of the VIA SOM-7200 module and VIA SOMDB8 carrier board, download the following datasheet.

VIA SOM-7200 Software Packages
The VIA SOM-7200 BSP supports Android 15, Yocto 5.0, and Debian 12. Software customization services that speed up time to market and minimize development costs are also available.
