AI-Powered Access Control at COMPUTEX 2025
The demonstration at the MediaTek booth features a smart access control system powered by the VIA AI Transforma. The system performs identity verification and checks for essential safety gear such as helmets or masks before granting access.
AI inferencing is processed entirely at the edge using the VIA AI Transforma’s onboard compute engine built on a high-efficiency MediaTek processor. High-resolution image capture and AI models trained with the NVIDIA TAO Toolkit enable fast and reliable facial recognition and PPE detection—without reliance on cloud connectivity.
This compact, self-contained solution is built for rapid prototyping and deployment in industrial facilities, warehouses, and other controlled environments where secure access and safety compliance are critical.
