Last year we continued to expand our VIA Mobile360 family of intelligent in-vehicle safety systems with the introduction of a number of new products targeted at different segments of the fleet management, warehouse and logistics, and mining and excavation markets.
Our glitziest launch was of the VIA Mobile360 Heavy Equipment Safety System at MINEXPO® 2021 in Las Vegas last September. We received a tremendous response to this highly ruggedized system, which leverages its powerful 360-degree video and mmWave radar smart sensor fusion technology to provide operators of mining, excavation, and construction vehicles with real-time alerts of approaching vehicles, machinery, and workers in all weather, lighting, and working conditions.
Featuring a ruggedized IP67 waterproof enclosure, IP69K cameras, and mmWave radar sensors, the VIA Mobile360 Heavy Equipment Safety System can be installed on wide variety of loaders, off-highway trucks, and other heavy equipment and can be customized to meet specific deployment requirements.
We rolled out the VIA Mobile360 Forklift Safety System with much less fanfare in China during Q1 last year and followed up with the global launch in October. With its people detection technology, the system prevents pedestrian accidents through its front and rear wide angle cameras. To further boost safety, the system also alerts the operator when it detects signs of fatigue, smart phone usage, and smoking through its driver camera.
Since its launch, the VIA Mobile360 Forklift Safety System has been widely adopted by leading companies from a wide variety of industries such as automotive, food and beverages, petrochemicals, and semiconductors in China, Taiwan, and other key markets. Check out this case study to learn the benefits that Shaanxi Automotive Holdings Group Ltd., the leading manufacturer of commercial heavy vehicles in the northwest of China, has derived from deploying the system in its manufacturing operations.
We rounded off 2021 with the launch of the VIA Mobile360 M800 Video Telematics System at the beginning of December. Comprising an ultra-compact IP67-rated system, a front-facing ADAS camera, and an interior-facing driver camera, the system makes it easy for fleet operators to add collision alert and driver monitoring capabilities to buses, trucks, and other large vehicles. Most recently, the M800 became the fourth VIA Mobile360 system to achieve AWS IoT Device certification, and comes with the VIA Fleet AWS Cloud SDK and VIA Fleet Cloud Management Portal to simplify integration with existing AWS cloud platforms, applications, and services.
In 2022, we plan to further expand the VIA Mobile360 family of intelligent in-vehicle safety systems for a growing number of segments and use cases. Watch this space for future announcements!
