As global deployments of the VIA Mobile360 Forklift Safety System have ramped up, we have received a growing number of customer requests for additional pedestrian detection options. In response to this need, we have a developed a new 3PD Package for the system that we will display for the first time at LogiMAT 2022.
Featuring one rear and two side cameras, this new package supports a 270° people detection zone covering an area of between 4 and 5 meters depending on the camera installation height. The detection area and accompanying alerts can be configured with either a single (warning) or two zones (warning and critical) using the VIA WorkX app.
The VIA Mobile360 Forklift Safety System 3PD Package will be available in three configurations as summarized in the illustration below. The Basic Package comprises the VIA Mobile360 M500 system and three cameras and issues audio or voice alerts to the operator when it detects someone coming too close to their vehicle. The Vision Package includes a 7” CVBS display for visual alerts and increased operator situational awareness. The Vision+ Package adds a speed sensor to the mix.
The VIA Mobile360 Forklift Safety System featuring front and rear cameras for smart people detection and a driver camera for DSS (Driver Safety System) will be renamed as the 2PD Package. Like the 3PD Package, it will be available in three different configurations. The Vision+ Package features a reverse light sensor as well as a speed sensor.
