As global deployments of the VIA Mobile360 Forklift Safety System accelerate, we are stepping new hardware and software innovation to meet evolving customer needs. During the first half of this year, we rolled out a number of significant new enhancements to the system, including the Speed and Reverse Light Sensor Kit, the 36V – 100V DC-DC Power Converter for EV forklifts, and the 3PD Package featuring one rear and two side cameras that support a 270° people detection zone. Here is a brief overview of our latest VIA Mobile360 Forklift Safety System innovations
Speed and Reverse Light Sensor Kit
We have designed the Speed and Reverse Light Sensor Kit for use cases in bustling warehouse, manufacturing, and construction environments where forklift operators require maximum situational awareness to safely maneuver their vehicles. The kit comprises an IP67-rated speed sensor that can be installed on one of the front wheels of the forklift and an IP66-rated reverse light sensor for the rear of the vehicle. Other components include cables, a magnet and mounting bracket for the speed sensor, and a sensitivity control box for the reverse light sensor.
36V – 100V DC-DC Power Converter
The new 36V – 100V DC-DC power converter enables the smooth integration of the VIA Mobile360 Forklift Safety System in all leading EV forklift models. It is available as an optional accessory for all system configurations.
VIA Mobile360 Forklift Safety System 3PD Package
The VIA Mobile360 Forklift Safety System 3PD Package features left, right, and rear cameras that support a 270° people detection zone covering an area of between 4 and 5 meters depending on the camera installation height.
The 3PD Package is available in three configurations to meet diverse operational safety use cases. The Basic Package comprises the VIA Mobile360 M500 system and three cameras. The Vision Package includes a 7” CVBS display for visual alerts and increased operator situational awareness. The Vision+ Package adds a speed sensor to the mix to further boost pedestrian safety.
VIA Mobile360 Forklift Safety System 2PD + DSS Package
The VIA Mobile360 Forklift Safety System 2PD Package comes with front and rear people detection cameras as well as a driver camera that alerts the forklift operator whenever it spots signs of fatigue, smart phone usage, and smoking. Like the 3PD Package, it is available in three configurations. The Vision+ Package features the full reverse Speed and Reverse Light Sensor Kit.
During the second half of the year, we will further enhance the functionality of the system to address emerging customer requirements. Our plans include the launch of the VIA WorkX Connect Cloud Management Service to enable to the seamless capture and analysis of critical safety and operational data.
